Planet Lincoln in Spring, Texas and Lincoln Motor Co. are “Driven to Give” to our amazing Houston-area communities.  On March 21st, Texas Music Throwdown hosted its annual concert in The Woodlands event to benefit Heroes on the Water, a non-profit organization dedicated to offering water rehabilitation to wounded veterans.

Despite all of the rain, Texas Music Throwdown raised $45,000. In the past five years, the charity has donated $145,000 to Heroes on the Water!
During the event, Planet Lincoln hosted a Lincoln Driven To Give event to help Texas Music Throwdown raise even more funds for Heroes on the Water.  The Lincoln dealership’s test drive paid $20 for each eligible test drive taken during the event.

You all helped raise a lot of money by simply taking your time to take our luxurious Lincoln cars and SUVs for a joy ride. The official count of test drives was 288 so that equates to $5,760 for Heroes on the Water.

A big thanks to all of Planet Lincoln’s employees and Sam Houston’s Bearkats All Paws In for coming out in the rain to support our wounded veterans and make our event a huge success!

Planet Lincoln Volunteers at Local Shelter

Screen Shot 2014-12-26 at 5.22.28 PM‘Tis the season to be part of our amazing community. At Randall Reed’s Planet Lincoln in Spring (serving The Woodlands, Aldine, Conroe and greater Houston), we truly care about our neighbors. So, when we had the opportunity to make Christmas dinner at the local women’s’ shelter, we were happy to lend a  hand.

John Dvorak, General Manager, did a wonderful job as  the Head Elf and for offering the beautiful prayer at dinner. Planet Lincoln made sure the shelter had everything needed for all the trimmings. “It was a great Christmas dinner and to celebrate it with all these wonderful people…  it was a blessing for me,” Mr. Dvorak said.

We thank the community for inviting us to join them during this very special time of the year. We also would like to thank all of our customers and Planet Lincoln team for making our Lincoln dealership a truly special place to be.

Planet Lincoln and Children’s Books On Wheels ribbon cutting

Randall Reed’s Planet Lincoln in Spring is proud to announce their new Lincoln Literacy Corner.  The Houston-area dealership partnered with Children’s Books On Wheels, a non-profit mobile organization dedicated to promoting literacy for school-age children.

Together, Planet Lincoln and Children’s Books On Wheels had a ribbon cutting Saturday, August 17th, celebrating the new reading area and sponsorship of Seed To Read, an after-school program which provides educational support through mentoring and tutoring to school-age children from Pre-K to 12th grade in underdeveloped rural communities.

“This is a wonderful event celebrating a great program that does so much the kids in our community,” said Randall Reed, owner of Planet Lincoln. “We are thankful to be able to partner with and help this organization promote literacy and fun reading programs for our children.”

The Lincoln Literary Corner is inside the Planet Lincoln dealership, located at 20440 I-45 North, Spring, Texas 77373. During the ribbon-cutting event, children, families and Planet Lincoln guest enjoyed refreshments from Chick-fil-A as part of our  “Lemonade For Literacy.” Children visited with the Spring Fire Department and free books were available for children of all ages.
