Even if cared for properly, your car is still at risk for damage anytime you pull out onto the road. Other drivers, weather conditions or even road conditions can cause damage to your car. As part of their commitment to providing a top-notch luxury car experience, Lincoln is doing their part to reduce one of these threats by introducing an all-new intelligent suspension system on their 2014 MKZ.
This suspension system is designed to reduce the risk of damage caused by potholes, uneven roads or decrepit infrastructure. Standard on the 2014 MKZ, the continuously controlled damping (CCD) suspension system provides the vehicle with some defense against expensive wheel and tire repair caused by structural road issues. As part of the Lincoln Drive Control System, the CCD system joins several other dynamic drivings enhancements that provide the driver with a world class driving experience.
The CCD system reads nearly 50 road inputs in two milliseconds, the data from which are used to quickly adjust the shocks. When a pothole is sensed, the proprietary CCD algorithm dampens the shocks to minimize damage. With over $5 billion a year spent by American drivers towards pothole damage, Lincoln’s CCD suspension system is a necessary addition to the Lincoln luxury lineup.
Lincoln takes luxury very serious and is always adding improvements to their elegant line of vehicles. Check out the all-new addition to their line, the 2015 MKC, this coming summer or test-drive a 2014 MKZ with CCD suspension technology. For the first time ever, Lincoln Motor Company will be making an appearance at the world-famous Barrett-Jackson Auction Company’s sale in Palm Beach, Florida. The all-new 2015 MKC leads Lincoln into one of the most successful auto sales in the nation, and Lincoln is excited to showcase the newest addition to its luxury vehicle line. Lincoln will also be displaying the 2015 Navigator, which has seen significant upgrades from last years model including a new engine and several new available options that will surely take your Lincoln to the next level. In addition to showcasing the 2015 MKC and the 2015 Navigator, Lincoln will also be offering test drives of their entire 2014 vehicle line. Take a look at these two incredible additions in the videos below.
Set to hit the market this summer, the 2015 MKC is described by the company as a “small premium utility” vehicle, delivering luxury, reliability and practicality in a sleek package. The MKC will feature a 285-horsepower turbocharged 2.3L EcoBoost engine and push-button gear shift, a standard feature on Lincoln vehicles. The MKC has several other available options, including 19-inch wheels, state-of-the-art navigation system, and park out assist.
The 2015 Navigator has an impressive list of features as well.
